A Neo-Georgian Revival Style 10,000 plus square foot mansion located just south of Martinsburg in Berkeley County, WV. The mansion is situated on 17 acres of beautifully landscaped grounds surrounded by flowing trees, woodlands, and gardens.
The Purple Iris at Hartwood is available for wedding ceremonies, wedding receptions, corporate dinners and retreats, picnics, anniversary parties, rehearsal dinners, and any special event that would require a celebration.
The Purple Iris at Hartwood also features an intimate but casual restaurant located on the second level of the mansion.
The Carriage House offers three luxury boutique style rooms available for overnight accommodations.

About The Owners
Chef Daniel Harshbarger along with his wife Tiffany Harshbarger are the owner operators of The Purple Iris. They believe in working together as a team to make ones experience at The Purple Iris a memorable affair.
Daniel is a 1994 graduate of the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, N.Y. Upon his graduation of the C.I.A., he aprenticed at the Sheraton Washington Hotel in Washington, D.C. where he went on to become the restaurants chef, responsible for both the Courtyard and Americus Restaurants. He then left the hotels to become the Executive Chef at the Premier Lakewood Country Club in Rockville, MD.
Then in 1999 Daniel came down with the entrepeneurial urge, so he became the chef/owner of the Catoctin Inn and Catering in Buckeystown, MD.
Finally Dan and Tiffanys dreams came true, they found the perfect place, and in 2002 Daniel and Tiffany purchased the The Purple Iris at Hartwood Mansion.
Chef Dan has also competed in National Culinary Salon's, placing Bronze, and held a ched/instructor position at Frederick Community College in Frederick, MD.
